Signifikansi Teologis Doktrin Kekudusan Tubuh terhadap Batas-Batas Etis Pacaran Pemuda Gereja

This article discusses the importance of maintaining the sanctity of the body as the temple of God in the dating practices of Christian youth and teenagers. The background to the problem includes: (1) the rise of permissive dating styles that disregard the values of sanctity; (2) a lack of theological understanding of the body as the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit; and (3) weak Christian ethical guidance in premarital relationships. This study employs a qualitative method with a literature review approach, analyzed theologically and ethically through primary and secondary sources. The state of the art indicates that studies on Christian ethics remain limited in the context of contemporary dating relationships. The purpose of this research is to formulate a Christian ethical framework relevant to young people in maintaining the sanctity of the body. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of theological ethical perspectives with the dynamics of contemporary relationships. The results of this research show that living a holy and ethical life in dating is a fundamental calling of faith for a relationship that is pleasing to God.
