Abstract

Abstract

New students often struggle to balance academic demands, service commitments, and personal development needs. These conditions often cause stress, which affects academic achievement and character development. To address these issues, the Agape Nazarene Christian Church implemented a Continuous Discipleship-Based Mentoring program. The program aims to develop a mentoring pattern that helps new students balance their studies, service, and academic performance through a focused discipleship strategy. The research method is a descriptive qualitative case study, and the implementation methods include small group meetings, spiritual mentoring, and student involvement in social service. Activities were carried out twice a week, focusing on Bible teaching, discussion, and ministry practice. The results showed increases in discipline, time management, and academic skills, as well as a strengthening of students' spiritual character. Students also experienced growth in social awareness and positive community bonds. The program's outputs were contextual discipleship modules and program documentation that could be used to sustain the program. Thus, this program demonstrated the effectiveness of continuous discipleship as a holistic development strategy for new students while strengthening the identity of the Nazarene Church as a community that shapes Christ's disciples. 

Abstrak

Mahasiswa baru kerap menghadapi tantangan dalam menjaga keseimbangan antara tuntutan akademik, komitmen pelayanan, dan kebutuhan pengembangan diri. Kondisi tersebut sering menimbulkan tekanan yang berdampak pada capaian studi dan pembentukan karakter. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan untuk menjawab persoalan tersebut melalui program Pendampingan Berkelanjutan Berbasis Pemuridan di Gereja Kristen Nazarene Agape. Tujuan program ini adalah membangun pola pembinaan yang menolong mahasiswa baru menyeimbangkan studi, pelayanan, dan kualitas akademik melalui strategi pemuridan yang terarah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, sedangkan metode pelaksanaan meliputi pertemuan kelompok kecil, mentoring rohani, serta keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam pelayanan sosial. Kegiatan dilaksanakan secara rutin dua kali seminggu, dengan fokus pada pengajaran Alkitab, diskusi, dan praktik pelayanan. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kedisiplinan, manajemen waktu, keterampilan akademik, serta penguatan karakter spiritual mahasiswa. Mahasiswa juga mengalami pertumbuhan dalam kepedulian sosial dan ikatan komunitas yang positif. Luaran kegiatan berupa modul pemuridan kontekstual dan dokumentasi program yang dapat digunakan untuk keberlanjutan kegiatan. Dengan demikian, program ini membuktikan bahwa pemuridan berkelanjutan efektif sebagai strategi pengembangan holistik mahasiswa baru, sekaligus memperkuat jati diri Gereja Nazarene sebagai komunitas pembentuk murid Kristus.
